Early settlers said he drove all the Massasauga rattlers off the Bruce peninsula. Then on March 17th, thirsty, tired and snakebit, he raised a cold, delicious pint of stout with a tavern full of grateful beef farmers and graciously said: “Call me Jimmy.”
